This week, my partner Isaiah and I had some challenges when it came to writing our procedure. We were unsure of how to describe the process of serial dilution because we didn't completely understand it ourselves, we had the numbers we needed but we weren't sure how we had gotten them. We decided to stay in during advisory to work with Mr. Zhou to better understand serial dilution and after an hour and a half we finally understood where all of the numbers came in and how we would reach those numbers through the process. Our process for serial dilution is slightly more difficult than others because not only do we have to do dilutions, we also have to convert our measurements from ABW (Alcohol by weight) to ABV (Alcohol by volume).
So far, our group collaboration has been pretty well balanced. We seem to work well together and we know what strengths and weaknesses the other group member has.
When we both struggled with writing the procedure instead of struggling on our own, we decided to get help so we could both understand.
This past week has been mainly focusing on finalizing our introduction and our methods/procedure. We were able to finish both our introduction and our procedure and they are linked below.
